May 5, 2020

With many states looking ahead to reopening in the wake of government-mandated COVID-19 shutdowns, the American Dental Association recently released guidance for dentists on maintaining the safety of themselves and their staff as they return to work in these still uncertain times. Termed the ADA’s Return to Work Interim Guidance Toolkit, this toolkit contains essential information on navigating dental practice during a pandemic, including:

  • Interim guidance on masks and face shields

  • Customizable letter to patients

  • Guidance for pre-appointment screening, in-office patient registration and post-procedure patient exit

  • Staff protection strategies

  • Chairside checklist for working in the operatory

  • Supplies shopping list

Get the ADA Return to Work Interim Guidance Toolkit today. As a reminder, all information in the toolkit is intended to be used in combination with your professional judgement. The ADA will continue to review and update the toolkit as the COVID-19 situation evolves and new information becomes available.
