2019 Children's Dental Health Month Poster Contest Winners Announced

May 3, 2019

As part of its 2019 Children’s Dental Health Month activities, Second District Dental Society (SDDS) held its annual poster contest in which preschool through high school students in Brooklyn and Staten Island were invited to submit posters that effectively communicated a dental hygiene message. This year’s directive to the students was to create a poster featuring original artwork to illustrate a dental hygiene habit that keeps teeth healthy and smiles bright.

SDDS received over 250 submissions for the contest which were judged by members of the SDDS Oral Health Committee. The posters were judged based on the student’s creativity in approaching the project and the educational value of the content. The judges selected 21 remarkable entries to receive first, second and third place prizes in seven age group categories. For their efforts and talent, all winners will receive award certificates and gift cards.

SDDS wishes to thank all students who participated for their efforts and hopes that the contest was a valuable learning experience for them.
