Synopsis:
This lecture will review the following:
- Goals of orthodontic treatment
- Improving dental esthetics
- Improving facial esthetics
- Improving function
- Diagnostic evaluation
- Fixed or removable appliances
- Clear aligner therapy
- Fixed appliances
- Treatment of Class I, II and III malocclusions
Upon successful completion of this lecture, attendees will be able to discuss the goals of orthodontic treatment and ways to improve dental esthetics. Participants will also have a better understanding of diagnostic evaluation, malocclusion types and the use of clear aligners and fixed orthodontic appliances.

GAIL E. SCHUPAK, D.M.D. is an orthodontist in midtown Manhattan who obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and her certificate in orthodontics from Columbia University School of Dental Medicine (CUSD). She has been in the faculty in the orthodontics department at New York University College of Dentistry for over 31 years. She is on the Dean’s Council at the University of Pennsylvania and has been active in the ethics program at CUSD. Dr. Schupak served on the Organization Committee of the Greater New York Dental Meeting and organized most of the orthodontic programs there.
